KENDRICK ZANE

Kendrick was born right here in Salt Lake City, and from a very young age developed a strong love for music, especially the piano.  He started piano lessons when he was 7 years old and it soon became clear that he “just had a knack for it”.  By the time he was 9 or 10 he knew that he wanted to be a musician.  “Garth Brooks was my musical idol back then”, he explains.  “I even asked for a cowboy hat and guitar for my birthday one year.”

Kendrick got over his country fixation by the time he was 11 or 12 and discovered an artist that would shape his musical destiny for good- Billy Joel.  “My piano teacher had me learn a Billy Joel song for my lesson one week.  She even bought me the album so I could hear how the song actually went.  I was instantly hooked!”.  Kendrick's passion for the music is evident in his playing.  Comments like “Man, you sound more like Billy Joel than Billy Joel does” are not uncommon.

Kendrick's repertoire isn't limited to Billy Joel, however.  His song range extends anywhere from The Beatles to AC/DC to Ray Charles, and anything in between.  Kendrick loves what he does and is delighted to be at Keys On Main.

GEORGE KELLY

George grew up in West Jordan, and his musical background is quite unique.  From a young age George developed a love for acting and starred in many plays.  “I learned how to sing when I started doing musicals in high school”, George explains.  “And that's where my background in music begins.”

Perhaps an even more pivotal moment came when George was 18 years old.  “I was in Vegas and snuck in to one of their dueling piano shows.  I saw them play 'Piano Man' and said to myself 'I want to do that!'”.  This was his motivation in teaching himself to play the piano.

George has been playing dueling pianos for the past 6 years, minus a stint in Florida where he attended and got a degree in audio engineering from Full Sail. George now runs his own audio/video production company and also continues his acting.  You may have seen him on several TV spots including the swinging Larry H. Miller Chevy commercials. “After all, you know this guy”.

Jordan has played the piano since the age of three and has grown up in a home where there was always music. After 10 years of classical training Jordan started getting into popular music in High School where he was a part of bands such as "Pyrocantha" and "M.O.A.B." Jordan has preformed at local venues all over the Wasatch front and is stoked to play at Keys on Main. Jordan is a songwriter as well and has two solo albums.

DAVE COMPTON

Dave has been a full time musician for almost 40 years.  Over the years Dave has found himself on stage with some of the biggest names in the business (The Temptations, James Brown, and Glen Campbell to name a few).  The Lyrics, one of Dave's early bands, had the privilege of opening for Sonny and Cher, Frank Zappa, and The Doors.

In Utah, Dave's been building a fan base since 1979.  He appeared at the Salt Lake Hilton's "Room at the Top" for 19 years, the longest running gig in Utah history!  When that room closed he played for over 4 years at the Cabana Club, and now at Keys On Main.

Dave's smooth relaxed style keeps his loyal group of fans coming back for more.  To see Dave at his best, come check him out on his solo night on Tuesdays.  He's been known to pull out a guitar, harmonica, and percussion (sometimes all at once!).  He's a quintessential "Piano Man" and we're excited to have him here at Keys On Main.
